Orders
One live blotter for the whole desk. Every order checked, every fill simulated.
Buy and sell, market and limit, single-account and block orders. Traders work them on a dense, live trade blotter with fills, slices and allocations one click away; every order moves through a clear state machine, is worked by a TWAP or VWAP simulation, and is measured against its arrival price.
The trade blotter
- Every order on one screen: status, fill progress, average price, last (simulated) price, slippage in basis points, notional and unrealized P&L.
- Filter per column, sort on several columns, group by account, security, trader, status or side with subtotals; save named views.
- A view editor: pick fields from one catalogue (including your own user-defined fields), set labels, widths, number formats, pinned columns, sorting, grouping, default filters and colour rules, with a live preview. Keep views for yourself or share them with the firm.
- Live: fills and prices tick while you watch, and changed rows flash. Thousands of rows scroll smoothly; on a phone the rows become cards.
Row and bulk actions, same checks
- Amend quantity or limit, cancel, release to the simulator, approve, override a soft warning, allocate - each gated by your permissions on the accounts.
- An amendment re-runs the compliance check; a hard block refuses it and the order stays as it was.
- Bulk cancel and release with a confirmation, one order at a time through the same service.
A state machine you can audit
- Proposed → pending compliance → (compliance hold | pending approval) → approved → working → partially filled → filled; or cancelled, or rejected.
- Every transition is recorded with who, when and why.
- Human approval above the firm's thresholds, from someone other than the person who entered it.
Block orders, allocation and operations
- One order, many accounts, each allocation checked on its own account; fills allocated pro rata in whole shares.
- Operations confirms allocations after the fills, works the exception queue (stuck and duplicate orders) and runs the end-of-day checks.
- Paper trading only: nothing is routed to a broker, and no real money moves.
AI
Where the AI helps
- Turns "my partially filled tech buys over $1M today" into filter chips you can see and remove - never a database query, never wider than your entitlements.
- Plans bulk actions from a sentence - "cancel all my unfilled AAPL buys", "move the VWAP orders for the Growth accounts to TWAP" - with a preview of every order before and after; nothing runs until you confirm, and each order goes through the same checks.
- Writes the blotter brief: stuck orders, slippage outliers, orders near their limit, holds - with links to the rows.
- Explains a flagged order ("Why?") and suggests a fix that opens as a pipeline proposal, never applied directly.
Deterministic
What decides
- Rows come from the server already limited to the accounts you may see.
- Entitlements and compliance are re-checked at submission, amendment, approval and on every executed slice.
- Anomaly badges come from deterministic detectors; fills and slippage are computed deterministically.
