Versioning policy

Each format has its own namespace with a version, such as urn:vestoris:feed:price:1.0. Within a version, only optional elements are ever added, so a file that is valid today stays valid. A change that could make a valid file invalid (a new required element, a narrower type, a renamed element) gets a new major version, 2.0, with its own namespace and XSD. Old and new versions are accepted side by side for at least 12 months, and this page says when a version will stop being accepted.

Published versions

1.0, 2026-10-26: First published version. Accepted.
1.1, 2026-10-26: Adds the optional <udfs> element (up to ten <udf slot="1..10" name="...">value</udf>) to the reference formats that carry user-defined fields: security, issuer, account, accountgroup, broker, model, benchmark and list. Additive: every valid 1.0 file is still accepted under its 1.0 namespace. Accepted.

Changelog

2026-10-26 (1.0): First publication of the 21 Vestoris XML feed formats, the XSDs, the error codes and the validator.
2026-10-26 (1.1): User-defined fields: the reference formats (security, issuer, account, accountgroup, broker, model, benchmark, list) gain an optional <udfs> element with up to ten <udf slot="1..10" name="...">value</udf>, checked against the firm's field definitions (codes U101-U104). Additive: 1.0 files are still accepted under their 1.0 namespace.
