The event log and the AI record
The event log
Every action in every component (sign-ins, refusals, proposals, orders, fills, rule changes, reviews) goes into one append-only log. Each row stores the hash of the row before it, so changing or removing a row breaks the chain. Verify chain recomputes it.
The AI interaction log
Every AI call is recorded: purpose, model, latency, tokens, user, and the full input and output, encrypted at rest with a fingerprint of each. Admins and Compliance users can read it. The retention period is a firm setting (seven years by default).
When the AI is unavailable
Everything still works: explanations and drafts fall back to standard text, requests to a built-in parser, and the compliance engine always decides.
